Wesbite!

I am really excited that the website is finally finished for C&S Photography, check us out at www.chrisandsarahphoto.com!

I am really looking forward to some of our upcoming events, we have a lot of events for next year already. We are especially excited about shooting Kim and Jeremy's wedding on Sunday, they are a wonderfully fun couple and Chris and I are super excited to share the day with them.

Here are some of the engagement shots that Chris did for them:

Can't wait to post pictures from the final shoot!

Week 2: Katie

Week two is all about my sister Katie! She is a voice student at Temple U and we were trying for some head shots for her and some portraits for my project. I tried to do a little bit more environmental shots of her as well as some close up portraits. She has such an easy going attitude and she's always up for photos! She has been in almost every photo project I have ever done so it's only fitting that I give her the honor of being that first actual subject!

Week One: Self Portrait

I thought that it might be interesting to do a self-portrait for weeks 1 and 52. It will be interesting to see the difference in the two a year from now. It is an interesting experiment, a self-portrait. World-renowned photojournalist Henri Cartier Bresson remarks "The most difficult thing for me is a portrait. You have to try and put your camera between the skin of a person and his shirt." This concept of a self-portrait is a little intimidating but here are a few of things that I have been working on. It's strange that after I was done reviewing the images I chose mostly ones of me smiling. I will continue to post more portraits of myself seeing as I am the subject of the week! I am going to try and capture not only a personal intimate portrait of each person but their environments as well. It is going to be an interesting year!

52 Weeks Project

I have decided to embark on an experiment. Recently I have been experiencing what I think is the photographer's form of writer's block. A friend suggested that I start working on a 52 Weeks Project focusing on one subject every week for the next year. So over the next 52 weeks I am going to explore 52 people. I'm not sure how it's going to go but I am really excited to see where it takes me.

I plan to begin next week...procrastination because my camera batteries are currently in Africa with my partner Chris.

We'll see how this goes!

This is a portrait I did in college of my friend Sarah. She inspired this project so I will give her the honor of being the first post!

Re-Vamp

I've decided to re-awaken the blog. I have re-vamped the site a little bit to make it a little bit better for image viewing. Here are somethings I have been working on. I recently spent a week in Camden Town, a unique area of North London thriving on it's open air markets and ties to the punk music scene.
